Walk and Wag Is 3 Days Away!

The countdown is on! This is the largest annual fundraiser for the Humane Society of Huron Valley, where I volunteer. It's a fun day of events, and it's a great way to help HSHV continue to serve animals in need in our community. Over the years, I've adopted three dogs there, as well as two rats. HSHV has been serving the community for over 120 years, and always stays on the cutting edge of advances in keeping animals happy and healthy while in our care. In fact, we just launched a new program for keeping dogs well socialized. In the beginning of May, HSHV hosted a training program for managing large play groups, so we can give dogs more exercise, and time making friends with their own species. It is only because we have amazing donors that we are able to make so many advances, providing both solid medical care and a world of enrichment- good food, treats, comfy beds and blankets, socialization, exercise, and toys. So, this weekend is a major event for us! There will be dogs available for adoption walking around, agility demonstrations, games, as well as other dog activities. If you'd like to introduce your dog to agility, we have a mini course where I'll be from 8:30a-11a on Saturday. So far, the weather is looking promising, and I am excited to see all the HSHV alumnus pups and their families. My darling Jarlaxle may even make an appearance!
